Big 12 football predictions and schedule for Week 8 of the 2016 season. West Virginia looks to stay perfect as it takes on TCU in this week's conference headliner.
October 19, 2016Big 12 football predictions and schedule for Week 8 of the 2016 season. West Virginia looks to stay perfect as it takes on TCU in this week’s conference headliner.
Oklahoma, Baylor and West Virginia all won convincingly to stay undefeated in conference play – with the latter two remaining completely unscathed on the year.
The Mountaineers will have to prove themselves again this week when they take on TCU. The Horned Frogs are coming off a bye, before which they nearly lost to Kansas, and would like nothing more than to spoil WVU’s strong start. Along with the Bears—who are off this week—West Virginia is perhaps the conference’s best chance at a playoff berth.
Both Oklahoma teams go on the road this week as the Cowboys travel to Lawrence to take on Kansas, while the Sooners invade Lubbock to go up against Texas Tech. Both games are expected to be very high scoring, and could easily get into the 40s.
Now that the conference has officially decided against expansion, football can take the stage all by its lonesome.
