Arguably the best conference in college basketball, the Big 12 tournament is set to begin on Wednesday, March 9. With talented teams stacked from top to bottom, the crown could go to virtually anyone in the league. The Big 12 is expected to land at least seven bids in the NCAA tournament, which is absolutely remarkable.
That being said, it’d be pretty tough to pick against the Kansas Jayhawks at the moment. Bill Self’s squad finished the regular season by winning its last 11 games in a row, including victories over Kentucky, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas Tech, Texas, and Iowa State, all of which are projected to go dancing.
But with players like Buddy Hield, Jaysean Paige, and Georges Niang composing the class of the conference, it’s truly anyone’s game at this point.
The seeding for the Big 12 tournament is as follows.
1. Kansas
2. West Virginia
3. Oklahoma
4. Texas
5. Baylor
6. Iowa State
7. Texas Tech
8. Oklahoma State
