2015-16 Big 12 Football Bowl Schedule & Early Picks

    Capital One Orange Bowl

    College Football Playoff Semifinal
Thursday, December 31, 4:00 pm ET, ESPN
Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
    Playoff vs. Playoff
    Clemson vs. Oklahoma

This one is a rematch of the Russell Athletic Bowl, which was one handily by the Clemson Tigers, 40-6. But this isn’t the same Oklahoma Sooners team from last year. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has grown into a superstar, and both sides of the ball are playing on a high level.

Early Pick: Oklahoma 41, Clemson 30
    Early Line: Oklahoma -3.5

    Allstate Sugar Bowl

Friday, January 1, 8:30 pm ET, ESPN

    Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, LA
    Oklahoma State vs. Ole Miss

This matchup between Oklahoma State and Ole Miss features a couple of potent offenses, but the Rebels’ Landshark defense might just be the difference here. If you are debating which games to make time for, this is one of them.

Early Pick: Ole Miss 45, Oklahoma State 34
    Early Line: Ole Miss -7

    Russell Athletic Bowl

Tuesday, December 29, 5:30 pm ET, ESPN
    Orlando Citrus Bowl, Orlando, FL
    North Carolina vs. Baylor

Baylor has been forced to play just about everyone at quarterback this year, and despite the Bears using their fourth-string option against Texas, almost pulled a win out. North Carolina was a controversial onside kick call from making the College Football Playoff picture really interesting. Now these two teams, who can each score in a hurry, get a chance to go out on a high note.

Early Pick: North Carolina 41, Baylor 35
    Early Line: Baylor -3

    AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl

Tuesday, December 29, 9:00 pm ET, ESPN
    NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
    Texas Tech vs. LSU

This one will be defined by one player: LSU running back Leonard Fournette. Texas Tech can score, but won’t be able to stop the Tigers’ beastly back from racking up a ton of yards and points. LSU will also put on a show for Les Miles after the tumultuous end to the season.

Early Pick: LSU 28, Texas Tech 27
    Early Line … LSU -7

    AutoZone Liberty Bowl

Saturday, January 2, 3:20 pm ET, ESPN
Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, Memphis, TN
    Arkansas vs. Kansas State

Kansas State has its work cutout for it against Arkansas. The Hogs are going to pound the rock, and then pound the rock some more.

Early Pick: Arkansas 42, Kansas State 13
    Early Line: Arkansas -11.5

    Valero Alamo Bowl

Saturday, January 2, 6:45 pm ET, ESPN
    Alamodome, San Antonio, TX
    TCU vs. Oregon

You want nonstop offense? Then you will want to watch this game. The Ducks have been rolling since QB Vernon Adams returned, and the Horned Frogs should be healthier after injuries to key offensive players. Both teams have something to prove after entering the season with bigger aspirations, so this one should be full of fireworks.

Early Pick: Oregon 45, TCU 40
    Early Line: TCU -1

    Cactus Bowl

Saturday, January 2, 10:15 pm ET, ESPN
    Chase Field, Phoenix, AZ
    West Virginia vs. Arizona State

The Sun Devils will only have to travel a few miles up the road to nearby Chase Field for this one, and that will be an advantage for Todd Graham and company. The Mountaineers have looked good at times during the season, but have lost games they shouldn’t have. This will be one of them.

Early Pick: Arizona State 34, West Virginia 26
    Early Line: Arizona State -1
