Breaking down the best Big 12 football recruits at each position in the 2017 class, now that National Signing Day has come and gone.

With National Signing Day finally in the rearview mirror, it’s the Red River Rivalry again standing tall in regards to Big 12 football. Both Texas and Oklahoma were able to land some of the nation’s top recruits in the 2017 class.

Oklahoma cleaned up on defense, reeling in the best safety, corner and linebacker in the conference. As for Texas, new head coach Tom Herman was able to hold on to some key recruits from the Charlie Strong regime – Sam Ehlinger – while also pulling in a few kids of his own. Perhaps the biggest get for Herman was flipping Toneil Carter from UGA (who had the No. 2 overall class, mind you) and keeping the Houston native in-state.

Below are the best Big 12 football recruits at each position from the 2017 class.
