The Baylor Bears have made it to the NCAA Tournament. Here’s a preview of the team and a prediction of how they’ll do during March Madness.

    Resume

    Team: Baylor Bears

    Record:
    22-10

    Conference:
    Big 12

    Head coach:
    Scott Drew

    How they got here:
     At-large bid

    The Good

Taurean Prince and Rico Gathers have been a dynamic duo for a long time, and they provide a one-two punch that is tough for opponents to contain. Prince is the slasher, a guy who can pass, knock down the open three and get to the rim. Gathers is a quality rebounder who is a load down low. The same goes for Johnathan Motely, who helps Baylor control the paint.

    The Bad

When Baylor has struggled, it has been because the Bears aren’t controlling the tempo and are having a tough time executing in the half court. Baylor is great when it can use its athleticism to take teams out of their comfort zones in transition, but the Bears can also be handled physically.

    Prediction

Baylor has been shockingly low-rent when it comes to knocking off elite teams. It was swept by Kansas, Oklahoma and West Virginia during the regular season, and although the Bears will put up a fight, they won’t reach the Sweet 16.
