April 7, 2016Kennedale, Texas prospect Baron Browning announces his top 10 schools.
Five-star outside linebacker Baron Browning took a step closer to his college decision on Wednesday night. Browning, the nation’s No. 1 linebacker and No. 19 overall prospect, unveiled his top 10 schools.
As expected from a recruit of Browning’s caliber, his list is loaded with powerhouse programs. In no particular order, he’s considering Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State, TCU, Texas, UCLA and USC.
“First off I want to thank God because with out him none of this would be possible and I am nothing without him!” Browning wrote. “It has been a honor to receive all the attention I have from all the schools that offered me and I’m forever grateful and thankful for the Universities that invested time in me as well as all the relationships I’ve built. If your school is not listed below it doesn’t mean anything negative about your University. These are just the Top 10 schools that I believe that can help me become a better student, develop me as an athlete, help me get to where I’m trying to get in life, and last but not least help develop me in becoming a better young man on and off the field.
Browning was a longtime Baylor commit, but backed off his pledge in February. He visited the Bears mid-March, but it wasn’t enough to plant Art Briles’ team in his top 10.
