Highly-touted linebacker Baron Browning has postponed his commitment date in order to further weigh his college options.

Five-star outside linebacker Baron Browning was scheduled to announce his commitment on Tuesday, but coming off an official visit to Ohio State, the Kennedale, Texas prospect will now take more time to evaluate before making a decision.

“No longer announcing tomorrow, I need some more time to think & weigh my options to ensure I make the right decision for me & my future,” Browning tweeted on Monday evening.

Browning also tweeted that he had a “great time” in Columbus this past weekend. It was his fifth and final official visit, the first four going to, in order, Michigan, Alabama, Florida State and UCLA.

Browning narrowed down his top schools on Nov. 18 from 10 to six. The aforementioned schools and TCU made the cut. The four on the outside looking in were Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas and USC.

Browning is ranked the nation’s No. 2 outside linebacker and No. 25 overall player. He’s listed at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds.
