    Air Force Stays Grounded

As always, the Falcons rely on the ground game to get by, only this year the offense is more effective and more efficient than ever before. They play tough defense, they’re great at battling through adverse circumstances, and they’re tough and sound in all phases. But now they have to close the season on something positive after losing to New Mexico in the regular season finale before losing to San Diego State in a terrific Mountain West championship. You know what you’re getting – the Falcons are going to bring the effort and they’re going to try in the post-season, but they have the talent to produce, too.

This season at Cal has been your basic good news, bad news situation

The Bears are bowling for the first time since 2011, a bare minimum requirement for Sonny Dykes in his third season in Berkeley. That’s the good news. The bad? Cal slumped to the finish line after starting 5-0 and cracking the Top 25 for the first time in five years. The Bears coasted through September behind Jared Goff and a polished passing attack. However, once the tougher part of the conference schedule began, the program wilted with five losses over the final seven games. It’s been seven years since Cal last won a bowl game, so this marks another opportunity to add a brick to the foundation.
