Non-Conference Games Louisiana Tech, at TCU, Texas State, Alcorn State
Games vs. the East Florida, at Missouri
5 Keys to the Schedule
– The Hogs had problems with their non-conference schedule last year with a rough start, and this time around isn’t going to be a lot easier starting out against Louisiana Tech before going to TCU. Texas State shouldn’t be a problem and Alcorn State is a tune up for Alabama.
– Missing Georgia and Tennessee from the East is good, and while playing Florida stinks, at least it’s a home game coming off a bye week. The yearly Missouri game is on the road, but the Tigers need a lot of work
– Closing out with two road games at Mississippi State and Missouri isn’t horrible, but it makes the November home games against Florida and LSU that much more important. The Hogs are going to need a head of steam after that October 29th week off.
– The three big, giant, huge SEC West games against Alabama, Florida and LSU are all at home. Throw in the neutral site game against Texas A&M in Arlington, and there aren’t any complaints about the SEC schedule.
– WATCH OUT FOR … Texas A&M. Arkansas lost to the Aggies last year in Arlington, and lost in 2014, too. They lost in 2013 and 2012 after taking the 2011 battle in a shootout. This time around, the Hogs kickoff the SEC season with A&M, and next up in the conference fight is Alabama. The Hogs can’t lose in Jerry World.
