The No. 18 Arizona Wildcats will host the No. 23 Oregon Ducks at the McKale Center Thursday night in hope of extending their 49-game home winning streak.

The Wildcats (16-4, 4-3 Pac-12) saw their three-game winning streak come to an end Saturday night as they lost to the California Golden Bears. Down one with fewer than five seconds remaining, Gabe York drove hard to the rim and put up a tough contested layup that misfired. The Golden Bears secured the rebound and held on for the 74-73 upset. California got a big game from Jordan Matthews, who scored a game-high 28 points in 30 minutes off the bench. Gabe York led five Wildcats in double figures as he finished with a team-high 15 points.

The Ducks (16-4, 5-2 Pac-12) are currently tied with Washington atop the Pac-12 and have won five of their last six games coming into this one. Last time out, Oregon welcomed UCLA to Eugene, Ore. and outlasted the Bruins, 86-72. The Bruins held an early lead that didn’t last long as the Ducks took a 10-point lead into halftime and never took their foot off the pedal the rest of the way. Oregon’s front line had a field day with UCLA as it out-rebounded the Bruins, 42-32, and outscored them, 42-30, in the paint. Dillon Brooks led the Ducks with 25 points, while Chris Boucher finished with his fifth double-double of the season (18 points, 10 rebounds).

Thursday’s showdown will be the 76th meeting between Arizona and Oregon, with the Wildcats leading the all-time series, 49-26. Arizona has won the last three meetings, including an 80-52 beating in the Pac-12 tournament last year.
