Arizona State's Pat Tillman cleats are a terrific way to pay tribute to the former Sun Devil and Army Ranger. Here are photos of the classy kicks.
October 22, 2015Arizona State teamed up with adidas to pay a special tribute to former Sun Devil and Army Ranger Pat Tillman. During next Thursday’s home matchup against the Oregon Ducks, the Sun Devils will wear new “PT42” cleats designed in Tillman’s honor.
Adidas tweeted out a photo of them a week ahead of Arizona State’s next game.

Tillman suited up for the Sun Devils from 1994 to 1997. He won the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year in 1997 as a linebacker for Arizona State.
The Arizona Cardinals selected him in the seventh round (pick No. 226) of the 1998 draft. He played safety for the Cardinals from 1998 to 2001, before retiring and joining the Army Rangers.
Tillman was killed by what was later classified as friendly fire in Afghanistan in 2004.
