Non-Conference Games Northern Arizona, Texas Tech, at UTSA
Games vs. the North California, Washington State, at Oregon, at Washington
– The Sun Devils have to gear up the offense right away with the Texas Tech game at home coming after the opener against Northern Arizona. Going to UTSA makes it easy – beat Texas Tech, go 3-0 to start the year.
– ASU will know where it stands early on. The Cal game is at home – it’s a must-win – before going to USC and hosting UCLA. With a road trip to Colorado to follow, things ease up a bit, but getting at least a split against the two Pac-12 teams is vital.
– There’s no Stanford to deal with from the North, but the Sun Devils have to go to Oregon and Washington. This year, that’s going to be really, really rough.
– Three of the last four games are on the road. Going to Tucson isn’t that far down the road, but still, ASU is only at home twice from October 8th on.
– WATCH OUT FOR … the road game at Colorado. It’s coming off those showdowns at USC and against UCLA, and it comes before the possible shootout against Washington State.
