Linebacker Antwuan Johnson committed to Michigan, giving the Wolverines their first commit in 2018.

Jim Harbaugh has his first official headline of this week. It’s just a little closer to normal than we’re used to seeing from the Wolverines head coach.

Harbaugh added his first commit to the 2018 class when linebacker Antwuan Johnson pledged to Michigan.

What makes this commitment more intriguing? How about the fact Johnson’s hometown is a 45-minute drive from Ohio State’s campus.

The Springfield, Ohio native tweeted out his decision to choose maize and blue Monday evening.

There was plenty of drama when Urban Meyer landed a commitment from Antjuan Simmons, a 4-star outside linebacker in 2017 from Ann Arbor, Mich., while Harbaugh and his team were in Bradenton, Fla. for spring practice.

Now Harbaugh returns the favor by grabbing one out of Ohio State’s backyard.
