Antonio Callaway suffered a foot injury in Wednesday's practice, but the standout wide receiver for the Florida Gators tweeted out an update about his status.
October 29, 2015Antonio Callaway has given the Florida Gators a presence they haven’t had in a long, long time. The standout freshman wide receiver has 16 receptions for 308 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
Florida fans would probably salivate at the mention of Callaway’s go-ahead touchdown reception against the Tennessee Volunteers. He sure has been a pleasant surprise in Jim McElwain’s first season as head coach of the Gators.
But when McElwain announced that Callaway hurt his foot at practice on Wednesday, Florida fans were left chomping … on their nails. In spite of his status being questionable for Saturday’s game against the Georgia Bulldogs, Callaway took to Twitter in the early morning on Thursday to end everyone’s suspense.
