Amani Bledsoe commits to Oklahoma Sooners with just under two weeks remaining before National Signing Day.

Bob Stoops’ Oklahoma Sooners had an excellent season in 2015 — maybe better than most expected. Baker Mayfield emerged as a Heisman Trophy candidate, and the Sooners went 11-2. Unfortunately, they ran into Clemson in the College Football Playoff.

But the season was still a successful one.

Now, Stoops is trying to find success on the recruiting trail, as there are only two weeks remaining until National Signing Day.

On Thursday afternoon his hard work payed off with the commitment from 4-star defensive end Amani Bledsoe. He’s the No. 8 strong-side defensive end in the nation and the No. 155 overall recruit, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Bledsoe tweeted out his decision in a message — along with a picture of him donning a Sooners jersey.

Oklahoma now has the No. 25 class in the country with 16 total commits. Of those 16, seven are 4-star prospects, eight have 3-star ratings and one is listed as a 2-star player.
