Alabama football recruiting update looking back on the Crimson Tide's week of targeting the future.
March 28, 2016Alabama football recruiting update as the Crimson Tide continues to add to its 2017 class.
There weren’t any mountains moved last week, but as always, Nick Saban still made progress on the recruiting trail.
The Crimson Tide extended a couple offers while preparing to hose one of the nation’s top athlete for an unofficial visit.
Dylan Moses, the No. 2 overall player and No. 1 athlete in the class of 2017, is in Tuscaloosa, Ala. for an unofficial visit Monday.
Moses, who transferred from Baton Rouge, La. to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., is a 6-foot-2, 220-pound stud of a linebacker. He can make plays as a running back, too, but with his size he’s slated for a brighter future hitting ball carriers. Moses is also considering Florida, Texas, UCLA, USC and Michigan.
Alabama also offered scholarships to Savai’i Cravens and Alec Jackson this past week.
Cravens is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound wide receiver with an ability to make plays down the field. He high-points the football and isn’t afraid to completely lay out to make the catch.
Jackson, on the other hand, has a big frame at 6-foot-5, 260 lbs. While he fires off the ball and maintains balance as a speed-rushing defensive end, he needs to keep his pad level down. Jackson also needs to learn how to hand fight and rush with technique instead of relying on pure speed.
Below is an overview of how the Tide’s 2017 recruiting class currently sits.
