Alabama Football Recruiting Update: Crimson Tide Reeling

Alabama football recruiting update, as the Crimson Tide are looking to rebound from a trio of decommitments.

It’s certainly a rarity for Nick Saban to lose commitments. The Crimson Tide head coach is typically a tyrant on the recruiting trail. But last week was like a recruiting twilight zone for Alabama.

In the span of two days, three players decommitted from the Tide, and two of them flipped to Georgia where — guess who — former Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart is now the head coach.

While that series of events unraveled fairly quickly and in peculiarly organized fashion, there’s little reason for Alabama fans to worry. There’s a long time between now and Feb. 1, 2017, when National Signing Day arrives.
