Alabama football celebrates its 16th national championship on Saturday. Crimson Tide fans showed up in droves for the event.
January 23, 2016Championship celebrations for Alabama football are starting to become a normal occassion in Tuscalooa, Ala. The Crimson Tide capped off the 2015 season with a 45-40 win over Clemson to capture the program’s 16th national championship.
Under the direction of Nick Saban, Alabama has won four natioanl titles, all in the past seven seasons. Saban now has five championships to his name, one short of the legendary Paul “Bear” Bryant.
The level of consistency that’s been reached in Tuscaloosa, especially considering the way college football operates nowadays, is truly unprecedented. Every single recruiting class Saban has brought in since his arrival in 2007 has been part of a championship team.
Despite freezing temperatures, Alabama fans showed up in droves to celebrate the latest title. Below is a roundup of the sights and sounds from the party.
