Four-star offensive tackle Adrian Ealy committed to the Oklahoma Sooners on Thursday. Bob Stoops’ program currently sits at No. 4 in the recruiting class rankings.

Oklahoma added to its already impressive 2017 class on Thursday morning when 4-star offensive tackle Adrian Ealy committed to the Sooners.

In a video produced by Bleacher Report, Ealy and a band of recruiters scrambled around New Orleans to find a briefcase that contained the young man’s decision. Once found, Ealy committed by simply stating, “Mr. Oklahoma, take me to Norman. Boomer Sooner!”

Hailing from Gonzales, Louisiana – just outside of Baton Rouge – Ealy’s top five schools were Auburn, Florida, LSU, Kansas and Oklahoma. Most within the industry believed it was a two-horse race between Oklahoma and LSU.

Ealy is ranked as the No. 25 tackle in the country, and the nation’s No. 218 overall player. He was the No. 1 ranked tackle in the state of Louisiana.

In high school, Ealy played on both sides of the ball, but he projects to an offensive lineman at the next level. Possessing excellent footwork and length, he is strong against the pass rush off the end. Ealy will have to gain strength and improve his technique, though that will all come with conditioning programs in Norman.

With his addition, Oklahoma now has 24 commits in the 2017 class. The Sooners currently sit at No. 4 in the recruiting class rankings, far ahead of the next-closest Big 12 program, Texas Tech (No. 28).
