October 24, 2016ACC football standings for Week 9 of the season. The Clemson Tigers lead the Atlantic, while the North Carolina Tar Heels pace the Coastal.
ACC Atlantic leader Clemson had a bye this past week, but remains atop the division and conference. The Tigers are the only unbeaten team in the conference at this juncture. This week they’ll face an underachieving Florida State team, who is also coming off a bye. The Seminoles are 2-2 in ACC play so far.
Syracuse and Wake Forest are also 2-2 in conference games.
Boston College sits at the bottom of the Atlantic with an 0-4 ACC mark and 3-4 overall record.
In the Coastal, three teams carry just one loss – North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech. The Tar Heels lead the division at 4-1, while the Hokies and Panthers are 3-1 and 2-1, respectively. All three also have one non-conference defeat, giving them each two losses on the year.
After shooting out of the gate hot in Mark Richt’s first season, the Miami Hurricanes have lost three conference games in a row to fall to 1-3 and tied for second to last in the Coastal.
Duke is the lone team in the Coastal without a conference win. The Blue Devils are 0-3 in the ACC and 3-4 overall.
