The more things change (Clemson claiming a national championship for the conference), the more they stay the same, as Florida State is again the top ACC football team in the recruiting class rankings. FSU had a dynamic haul, which included early commits like running back Cam Akers and some surprises like linebacker Leonard Warner and dynamic defensive tackle Marvin Wilson.

Elsewhere in ACC football, Mark Richt’s first full cycle at his alma mater turned in a top-20 class. Miami really dug into the South Florida talent pool, while also landing a nice NSD commit from 4-star wideout Jeff Thomas out of East St. Louis.

Virginia Tech also had itself a nice NSD, with no bigger commit than 5-star defensive back Devon Hunter. The nation’s No. 1 safety, Hunter is the top prospect out of Virginia to sign with the Hokies in a decade.

Below is a complete look at the ACC football recruiting class rankings for the 2017 cycle.
