ACC football rankings heading into Week 5 of the 2016 season. Clemson and Louisville win ahead of Saturday night’s showdown.
Louisville already dispatched of Florida State easily. Clemson is ready to provide a much more difficult test.
The Cardinals and Tigers will meet Saturday night in South Carolina, with the winner having a leg up for a bid to the College Football Playoff.
Here’s a look at the rest of the ACC after four weeks.
Week 5 ACC Football Rankings
14. Virginia
Nice victory over a Central Michigan team that won at Oklahoma State.
13. Syracuse
The Orange move to 2-2 with a win at UConn.
12. Boston College
Stepped out of conference to crush Wagner on Saturday.
11. North Carolina State
Had the week off before opening ACC play against Wake Forest.
10. Duke
Notre Dame might not be very good, but the Blue Devils should feel great about winning in South Bend.
9. Georgia Tech
The Yellow Jackets were no match for Clemson on Thursday.
8. Wake Forest
Demon Deacons are 4-0 after getting a nice Power 5 win over Indiana.
7. Pittsburgh
Blew a 13-point fourth quarter lead in last-second loss to North Carolina.
6. Virginia Tech
Back-to-back big wins after beating East Carolina by 37.
5. North Carolina
Bug Howard scored twice, including the winning score with 2 seconds remaining, to give the Tar Heels the win.
4. Miami
Bye week before opening ACC play at Georgia Tech next week.
3. Florida State
Came out on top of a high-scoring matchup with South Florida.
2. Clemson
Win over Georgia Tech sets up the showdown with Louisville next week.
1. Louisville
Survived a trap game at Marshall and will look to knock off another ACC contender in a matchup with College Football Playoff ramifications.
