November 23, 2016ACC football predictions and schedule for every game in Week 13 of the 2016 season. Georgia Tech, Louisville, Clemson and Florida State will step out of conference to renew their traditional SEC rivalries.
With a berth in the ACC title game locked up, Clemson will welcome in-state rival South Carolina to Death Valley. The Tigers look to lock up their fourth 11-win season out of the last five, and have won the last two over their rivals from Columbia. They will look to extend that streak in their first game against a Will Muschamp-coached Gamecocks, which would be Swinney’s longest ever win-streak versus South Carolina.
In other ACC/SEC action, Lamar Jackson will get one final opportunity to add to his Heisman highlight tape when Louisville welcomes rival Kentucky to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Jackson struggled throwing the ball in last season’s matchup with the Wildcats, only going 8-of-21 and throwing and interception. However, he dominated the Kentucky defense with his legs, rushing for a then career-high 186 yards. Jackson needs 62 yards this year against the Wildcats to break the Louisville single-season rushing record, and the first touchdown he accounts for will break Deshaun Watson’s ACC record for most touchdowns in a single season.
In the primetime slot, Florida State looks to extend its game winning streak over Florida when the Gators travel to Talahassee. A win for the Seminoles would mark the first time ever that a senior class at Florida State has gone a combined 8-0 against Florida and Miami. It would also be the first time either team has had a four game winstreak since Ron Zook and Urban Meyer guided the Gators to six straight victories between 2004 and 2009.
