Five-star forward Khavon Moore scored 53 points on Friday night. The Georgia Class of 2018 star had a strong effort in front of an Ohio State coach.

Khavon Moore picked a good night to have a record-setting performance.

The five-star junior from Westside High (Macon, GA) scored 53 points, adding 13 rebounds and seven assists, in a 104-58 victory against Kendrick (Columbus) on Friday evening. The 6-8, 187-pound small forward, who is one of the best players in the Class of 2018, set a school record for most points in a game.

The gem of a game from the versatile forward came in front of Ohio State assistant Dave Dickerson.

Moore holds early offers from UConn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, N.C. State, Providence and Tennessee, among others. Kentucky has also shown interest, as assistant Joel Justus watched Moore on the first day of the fall recruiting period in September. He also took an unofficial visit to Lexington on Oct. 2 of last year.

The Georgia product, who grew up in Syracuse and didn’t play basketball until the 7th grade, is long and athletic with a strong skill set. He can make plays off the dribble and hit from a variety of spots on the perimeter as well as from the post, where he is a very good passer when he draws a double team.
