    TCU Football Recruiting Class Overview

Gary Patterson not only came up with one of his best classes ever, he might have brought in the best recruiting class in the Big 12. There might not be the highest-of-level gets like Baylor was able to bring in for a few spots, but TCU got the boatload of four-star talents while hitting the JUCO ranks well for some terrific instant fill-ins.

The Class Is Heavy On …

Defensive linemen. Who doesn’t want to be a part of this offense now? JUCO transfer Taj Williams is just one several top-shelf, big athletes who have the versatility to work in a variety of ways. But it’s the D line that shines the brightest starting with JUCO transfer Mat Boesen out of California and helped by end Isaiah Chambers and tackle Ross Blacklock. Throw in ends Sci Martin and Gary Overshown, and the D got its reinforcements.

The Star of the Class Is …

WR/DB Sewo Olonilua, 6-3, 212 – Where do you want to play him? He has the size and the speed to grow into a whale of a safety, but after seeing time at running back, he could move into a killer or a receiver with his quickness and physical skills. His future is in the defensive backfield, and that’s what LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M wanted him for.

The Team’s Biggest 2016 Depth Chart Hole Is …

Skill players. The defense should be good and deep, but the offense needs a ton of work. Four players are gone on the line, and receivers Josh Doctson and Kolby Listenbee are done. RB Aaron Green needs to be replaced, as does QB Trevone Boykin and Alamo Bowl fill-in star, Bram Kohlhausen.
