No. 1 Duke vs. No. 5 Utah

Why Duke will win: The Blue Devils are rolling, using their talent inside and out to cruise to a pair of wins to open the NCAA Tournament. Even with freshmen Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow playing huge roles, this team has the feel of an experienced, mature squad. Okafor is unstoppable inside, Jones and guard Quinn Cook can take over at any point, and Winislow is the do-everything guy who is the glue. The Blue Devils play defense, too.

Why Utah will win: The Utes are all about balance. They want to force teams to guard one-on-one, space the floor and give their offense room to operate. Delon Wright can make things happen off the dribble. The same goes for guard Brandon Taylor. The real keys will be for center Dallin Bachynski and forward Jakob Poeltl to be aggressive inside and try to get Duke’s bigs in foul trouble. If they can turn that trick, Utah will have a shot at the upset.

What will happen: Duke’s size and skill inside will be tested by Utah early, but Okafor will be too much for Utah to handle. The Blue Devil guards break down the Utes off the dribble offensively to get to the rim, and Duke’s defense will shut down Utah in the second half.
    Prediction:Duke 69, Utah 58
