    6. Houston Cougars, American Athletic

The American Athletic came up with a great year overall, and Houston was the king. How amazing were the Cougars? The first year under Tom Herman couldn’t have gone any better, rolling to the American Athletic title and going on to throttle Florida State in the Peach Bowl – it was a fun season.

The offense sputtered just once all year – the loss to Connecticut – scoring 34 points or more against everyone else but Temple in the AAC title game, but the high Season Score most came from lots and lots of wins.

Wins: 13 – Tennessee Tech, at Louisville, Texas State, at Tulsa, SMU, at Tulane, at UCF, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Memphis, Navy, Temple (Amercian Athletic Conference Championship), Florida State (Peach Bowl)

    Losses: 1 – at Connecticut

Quality Wins: 6 – at Louisville, Cincinnati, Memphis, Navy, Temple (Amercian Athletic Conference Championship), Florida State (Peach Bowl)

Elite Wins: 2 – Navy, Florida State (Peach Bowl)

Bad Wins: 5 – Tennessee Tech, Texas State, SMU, at Tulane, at UCF

    Elite Losses: None
