2015-16 SEC Bowl Projections After Week 11

SEC Bowl Projections after Week 11: LSU's loss to Arkansas is a big deal to getting three teams potentially into the New Year's Six, but Alabama's win over Mississippi State kept big playoff hopes alive.

The SEC might have just lost a third spot in among the New Year’s Six games.

LSU was the key to getting three teams into the big bowl games. Assuming the Alabama-Florida winner in the SEC championship is in the CFP and the loser is in the Sugar – and assuming it’s Alabama in the SEC Championship – then LSU needs to be 9-2 for the SEC to get that third team in. That’s going to be tough to do now considering the Tigers have to go to Ole Miss next week and finish up against Texas A&M.

The SEC will fill out all its bowl slots, but can it get one more team available?

Missouri is still alive with its win over BYU, now needing to beat either Tennessee or win at Arkansas – don’t expect either to happen.

Kentucky is the ultimate SEC disaster, crashing for the second season in a row with the loss to Vanderbilt meaning it has to beat both Charlotte and Louisville to go bowling. Vandy is still alive, but it needs to win out against Texas A&M and at Tennessee.
