The Big Ten bowl projections following Week 6. Ohio State is still on pace to return to the College Football Playoff, while Michigan is on the rise.
September 26, 2016
Ohio State hasn’t looked dominant, but the Buckeyes continue to win, which is why they are still picked to make the College Football Playoff. “You play to win the game,” and that’s exactly what Urban Meyer’s team is doing.
The biggest surprise of the Big Ten season has been the dominance of Michigan after its opening season loss. The Wolverines took the Northwestern Wildcats to the woodshed and have now shut out their last three opponents. It’s starting to smell like roses in Ann Arbor.
Speaking of the Wildcats, their postseason stock took a slight hit, but it’s just one loss. They’ll have to regroup fast, though, with the undefeated Iowa Hawkeyes coming to town on Saturday.
Below are the complete Big Ten bowl projections following Week 6. A total of 10 conferences teams are predicted to make the postseason as of now. Rutgers, Maryland, Nebraska and Purdue are on the outside looking in.
