And You Care Because … ULM broke a 17-17 tie with 13 unanswered points on two Justin Manton field goals and a one-yard Mitch Lane score. The Warhawks appeared to have control early getting out to a 10-0 lead helped by a one-yard Centarius Donald run, but New Mexico State came back on a 37-yard Larry Rose III run and a 32-yard Maxwell Johnson field goal, and Rose added a 64-yard touchdown run in the second, but that would be it for the Aggies.
What Else? ULM QB Pete Thomas completed 35-of-50 passes for 350 yards and a score with a pick
    – New Mexico State RB Larry Rose III ran 35 times for 229 yards and two touchdowns

Nov. 20 at Texas State 45, Arkansas State 27
And You Care Because … The Texas State running game went wild with Robert Lowe leading the way with four touchdown runs from 26 and nine yards out in the first half, and scoring dashes from 24 and 50 yards away in the fourth to pull away. The TXST passing game became part of the mix, too, with Tyler Jones starting off the scoring with a two-yard pass to Demun Mercer, and finding C.J. Best for a 70-yard touchdown. ASU stayed alive with two Fredi Knighten touchdown passes, but the Bobcats were able to stay comfortably ahead in the second half.
What Else? Texas State RB Robert Lowe ran 29 times for 236 yards and four scores
    – Arkansas State QB Fredi Knighten completed 31-of-57 passes for 366 yards and two touchdowns with a pick, and ran 19 times for 40 yards

    Nov. 22 Appalachian State 35, at Louisiana-Lafayette 16
And You Care Because … Marcus Cox ran for two short scores and Bobo Beathard returned a punt 33 yards for a touchdown as Appalachian State stunned ULL with a surprisingly dominant win. The Ragin’ Cajuns go three Hunter Stover field goals and an eight-yard scoring run from Elijah McGuire, but it was all ASU in the second half with Taylor Lamb finding Montez McGuire for a 40-yard touchdown and Terrence Upshaw running for a 36-yard score.

Nov. 22 at South Carolina 37, South Alabama 12
And You Care Because … South Carolina’s Skai Moore and Brison Williams each came up with two interceptions – each team turned it over five times – with Williams returning one of the picks 21 yards for a touchdown to overcome a rocky overall game to get to six wins. It wasn’t a perfect day for the South Carolina offense, but the defense held South Alabama to four Aleem Sunanon field goals from 20, 29, 20 and 31 yards out. Dylan Thompson found Nick Jones for a 29-yard touchdown, and caught a seven-yard scoring pass, but the Gamecocks had to rely on Elliott Frye field goals from 42, 47 and 24 yards out to make up for an offense that couldn’t seem to stop fumbling.
