And You Care Because … Notre Dame had a chance to force overtime, but Kyle Brindza missed a 32-yard field goal with 51 seconds remaining and Louisville held on for the win. Freshman QB Reggie Bonnafon ran for two first quarter touchdowns from 12 and eight yards out, and found DeVante Parker for a 21-yard touchdown pass in the third, but it was a 15-yard Brandon Radcliff run that gave Louisville the lead for good early in the fourth. Notre Dame’s offense started to work with Tarean Folston running for a third quarter score and Everett Golson throwing two touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough as the Cardinal D clamped down until late.
What Else? Louisville QB Reggie Bonnafon completed 8-of-21 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown with a pick, and ran 15 times for 35 yards and two scores
– Notre Dame QB Everett Golson completed 16-of-24 passes for 236 yards and two score with a pick
– Louisville RB Brandon Radcliff ran 17 times for 136 yards and a score
– Notre Dame RB Tarean Folston ran 18 times for 134 yards and a score

And You Care Because … Helped by three Larry Dixon touchdown runs from five, one and 39 yards out, Army rolled up 382 rushing yards and took over the game after getting down 10-0 in the first half. The Black Knights came up with a blocked punt for a score and got short touchdown runs from Terry Baggett and Raymond Maples as they stayed ahead with ease. Mike Nebrich threw three touchdown passes for the Rams, but they couldn’t get close than 11 late before Maples’ score put it away.
What Else? Army RB Larry Dixon ran 22 times for 158 yards and three scores

And You Care Because … BYU blew out to a 21-0 first quarter lead and a 51-0 first half lead as Christian Stewart ran for two scores and threw for four scores, finding Mitch Mathews for touchdown passes from 71 and 15 yards away. The Cougars came up with a blocked punt for a score and Nate Carter ran for a touchdown before they turned it off in the second half. Savannah State managed 63 yards of total offense.
What Else? BYU QB Christian Stewart completed 12-of-17 passes for 196 yards and four scores, and ran five times for 44 yards and two touchdowns
– Savannah State QB Leon Prunty completed 10-of-25 passes for 40 yards and a pick
