    Oct. 18 South Florida 38, at Tulsa 30 
    And You Care Because … Down 30-14 midway through the third quarter, USF scored 24 unanswered points on three Mike White touchdown passes to Andre Davis on plays from 15, 15 and 85 yards out, and put the game away on a 28-yard Marvin Kloss field goal. Tulsa seemed to have control of the game with a Austin McDaniel pick six, an 18-yard touchdown run from Bishop Louie and an eight-yard Keevan Lucas scoring grab, but penalties and stalled drives turned the game around. Carl Salazar’s third field goal was Tulsa’s only second half score. 
    What Else? Tulsa QB Dane Evans completed 22-of-34 passes for 314 yards and a touchdown 
    – Penalties: Tulsa 11 for 114 yards – South Florida 7 for 77 yards 
    – USF QB Mike White completed 17-of-26 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns with an interception 
    – USF WR Andre Davis caught six passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns, and Marlon Mack ran 19 times for 130 yards and two scores 
    Game Rating: A-

    Oct. 18 at UCF 20, Tulane 13 
    And You Care Because … UCF came up with a big second quarter on two Shawn Moffitt field goals and a one-yard William Stanback touchdown run, and Breshad Perriman took a pass 45 yards for a score in the third on the way to a 20-6 lead. Tulane could only manage two Andrew DiRocco field goals early, but finally got into the end zone in the fourth on a nine-yard Lazedrick Thompson run to pull within seven. The Green Wave had a few late chances, but UCF came up with two fourth down stops to hang on. 
    What Else? UCF quarterbacks combined to complete 12-of-23 passes for 139 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions 
    – Tulane QB Nick Montana completed 18-of-42 passes for 147 yards and two interceptions, and ran five times for 24 yards 
    – Turnovers: UCF 4 – Tulane 2
    – Fourth down conversions: Tulane 0-for-4 – UCF 0-for-3

    Oct. 17 at Houston 31, Temple 10 
    And You Care Because … Houston took advantage of a sloppy game with four takeaways and two touchdown passes from Greg Ward Jr. to come up with the easy win. Trevon Stewart took an interception 29 yards for a Cougar touchdown, and Ward Jr. found Deontay Greenberry for a seven-yard score and Ryan Jackson for a 30-yarder for a 31-10 third quarter lead. Temple’s lone touchdown came on a 39-yard Keith Kirkwood catch late in the first half. 
    What Else? Houston QB Greg Ward Jr. completed 29-of-33 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns, and ran 13 times for 44 yards 
    – Temple QB P.J. Walker completed 12-of-29 passes for 259 yards and a score with three picks, and ran eight times for 49 yards 
    – Turnovers: Temple 4 – Houston 0 
    – Penalties: Temple 11 for 88 yards – Houston 10 for 106 yards

    Oct. 18 Cincinnati 41, at SMU 3 
    And You Care Because … Helped by four SMU turnovers and several misfires, Cincinnati blew past SMU with five different Bearcats scoring. Gunner Kiel found Johnny Holton for a 23-yard score and Nick Temple took a fumble 27 yards for a touchdown as part of 24-point second quarter. Andrew Gantz hit three field goals for UC, while SMU only managed a 29-yard Cody Rademacher field goal in the first quarter. 
    What Else? Total yards: Cincinnati 508 – SMU 276 
    – Cincinnati QB Gunner Kiel completed 131-of-20 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown, and ran six times for 50 yards 
    – SMU QB Garrett Krstich completed 17-of-31 passes for 172 yards and two interceptions 
    – Cincinnati threw for 268 yards and ran for 240
